For years, many companies used only steel strapping for packaging. Only the development of plastics finally led to practical alternatives. These include in particular plastic strapping, which is essential for reliable load securing. Numerous branches of industry such as the paper, newspaper, corrugated board, building materials, meat and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the mail order, publishing and graphic arts industries profit from this today. With our PP strapping, we offer you an economical strapping solution that optimally serves static transport securing. Polypropylene (PP) is one of the thermoplastics with a semi-crystalline molecular structure. A plastic strapping made of PP differs from other plastic strapping (e.g. PET) in that it has a lower breaking load and a higher elasticity.
Our PP plastic strapping is available in different widths and thicknesses with different core diameters on coils and in dispenser boxes. It has high sealing strength and sliding rigidity, exact winding and minimal abrasion. In addition, there is no risk of corrosion. Thanks to a high shock reserve, shocks are well absorbed, which protects people and goods. There is also no risk of damage or injury, as our plastic strapping has no sharp edges. The PP material is highly tear-resistant and resistant to acids, alkalis and solvents. In addition, it is very inexpensive. The environmental friendliness is also an advantage, as PP rots without residue when exposed to UV light.
Our PP strapping is suitable for use with strapping machines or special strapping tools. You use these to tension the plastic strapping around the package and then seal it. In order for the strapping to fulfil its purpose, the parts to be packed should be stacked without gaps in advance and brought into a suitable shape.
